Claims Intake Specialist

Job DescriptionThe purpose of this job is to provide claim reporting resources for all clients while balancing impressive production with minimal inaccuracies.

Claim Intake(CIS)/Data Entry(DES) Specialists are responsible for client specific claim processing of WC and Liability insurance.

• Intake of all claims via telephone involving basic and customized processing instructions
• Data entry of fax claims
• Accurately relay all information provided by caller into claim
• Utilize QRM’s internal log
• Direct non-claim calls to appropriate Client offices
• Properly handle and notifying manager of any claims with pending issues
• Thorough use of Client’s systems
• FROI creation or WC claims
• Distribution
• Adhering to special handling instructions (client specific)
• Escalation of claims

Comprehensive package including insurance (medical, dental, vision/short term and long term disability/life), Employer Contributing Simple IRA, PTO, etc.

Job RequirementsRequirements:
• High school diploma/GED
• Proficiency in keyboard and 10-key numbers accuracy (must type minimum 30 wpm)
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and web-based systems
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Clean and clear written and communicative skills
• Investigative nature, inquisitiveness, and adaptability to environment
• Must be used to a fast-paced environment and must be able to follow instruction well
