Job DescriptionThe ophthalmic tech position requires a person to obtain complete patient history and document the patient charts neatly and accurately; experience with fluorescein angiograms and OCTs is preferred but not required. The tech may also be responsible for obtaining authorization for various tests and procedures.

Documentation of the patient visits are maintained in both electronic medical records and paper charts.

This is a full time position, Monday - Friday and offers medical, dental, life insurance and 401(k).

Job RequirementsThe successful candidate must be professional, dependable, friendly and have a desire to serve our patients. Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment a must. Our practice is a fast-paced office requiring the tech to multi-task while still offering outstanding patient care.

At least one year prior experience in a physician's office is required; ophthalmology experience a plus.

Travel between the nine offices is required; mileage is reimbursed.

We accept patients only at the request of other physicians and eye care specialists.

We have five conveniently located offices in the Nashville area and satellite offices in Dickson, Portland, and Bowling Green.
