SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER/ELECTRICAL
Middle Tennessee Metal Industry Operation
Starting salary ($65-80,000) will depend on experience and education.
EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Formal education should be BSEE or BSEET to fulfill the requirements of this job.
A combination of formal education, training and experience to acquire knowledge and skills generally equivalent to those possessed by a college graduate or sufficient experience plus college to handle a complex engineering responsibility.
ADDITION INFORMATION RELATED TO THE POSITION INCLUDE:
A combination of formal education, training and experience to acquire knowledge and skills generally equivalent to those possessed by a college graduate with experience in his discipline or acquired through six years of college.
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
At a minimum the candidate must have had prior work experiences in a metals manufacturing environment to qualify for this position. Will require sufficient computer literacy to provide various reporting requirements including the use of Excel spreadsheet and Microsoft Word or Works letter format. Name and type of experience required:
Minimum 5 plus years industrial background in power distribution. Power systems, low,
medium, and high voltage. Electrical control systems such as Allen Bradley, PLC,
troubleshooting, material handling equipment, facilities engineering. Proficiency in
making layout and detail drawings, wiring diagrams, etc., and Project Management.
Candidates should have “hands-on” for the layout design, installation, and coordination of major projects. It is a requirement that they have first-hand knowledge of plant electrical layouts, distribution ( main substation transformers to motor control centers to equipment), controls, etc. Voltage experience should range from control voltages (12v – 48 v) all the way to main plant voltages ranging from 480 v to 13,800 volts. Substation experience up to 161,000 volts would be a plus. Person will serve as a resource to assist maintenance as needed.

Requirement of the position. Prefer for middle Tennessee applicants but other locations in bordering states will be given consideration.
