Job Description:
Lead a team of journalists to do their best work, creating a compelling newscast Write clear and accurate stories and teases for television news broadcasts and online Assign crews and decide placement of stories in newscast Creatively present stories, using set, graphics, live shots, and props Gather story information over the phone and online Other duties to be assigned as needed. A proven track record of working well with others in a high-pressure, team-based environment Basic knowledge of computers and television production techniques Basic knowledge of social media as a newsgathering tool Flexibility to work as needed within station hours of operation, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays Professional appearance and behavior
