Job Description:
Membership Sales -- SNAP Fitness Mt Juliet Job Description Position Summary Maintains the business plan and marketing strategies to drive membership sales and ancillary revenue. Upholds the fulfillment of Snap Fitness’ (location) mission statement. Examples of work performed: 1. Generates appointments for new members 2. Sells memberships for the club by providing information, assessing fitness goals and motivating individuals to begin an exercise program. 3. Follows sales plan to meet and exceed sales goals. 4. Initiates, develops, and maintains a personalized relationship with each member. 5. Educates members to achieve a healthier way of life. 6. Provides customer service to members. 7. Builds a positive relationship with members by working to determine fitness needs. 8. Ensures sales areas, (and entire gym) are clean and maintained. Qualifications: Education; High School Diploma or GED College degree preferred Experience: Sales experience preferred Licenses/Certifications/Registration: CPR strongly encouraged Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Characteristics: 1. Ability to multi-task and learn quickly. 2. Excellent customer service skills. 3. Ability to handle and resolve customer conflicts in a professional, tactful manner. 4. Ability to build a relationship with members 5. Comfortable working with all age groups. 6. Ability to operate a personal computer and office software. 7. Knowledge of standard office procedures. 8. Ability to promote, sell and close contracts. Physical/Mental Requirements and working conditions Work is performed primarily in a fitness club setting, but a portion of the time will be spent on “outreach” programs outside the facility. This position is required to regularly: 1. Sit, talk and hear 2. Use hands to finger, handle or feel. 3. Read, write, type, and comprehend text. 4. Effectively communicate and interact with others. 5. Use reasoning and solve problems through deduction.
