Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of computer systems hardware and software. This position is responsible for ensuring system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values as well as PCI Compliance standards. Responsible for maintaining LAN/WAN/Cloud environments to run at maximum efficiency with minimum downtime. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for implementing and administering Windows Server 2003 / 2008 R2 in an environment containing network services and resources such as VOIP telephony, MS Exchange messaging, databases, file and print, policy based firewalls, remote access VPN, IIS 6 & IIS7, and VM Ware server virtualization. • Routinely analyze existing systems (LAN/Cloud) to identify opportunities for improving efficiency and performance as well as cost savings. • Manage support staff ensuring high level of productivity, professionalism and utilization. • Train and mentor support staff on the job for personal and professional development. • Research and recommend new vendor relationships. • Assist with departmental budgeting as well as monthly operating cost analysis. • Active member of IT management team serving as a first point of contact for system emergencies. Available 24/7. • Involved in creating department policies & procedures. Maintaining PCI compliance audits and documenting network infrastructure. TravLynx LLC is an equal opportunity employer. Job Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: • MCSE Certification with 3+ Years Managing Windows Server 2003/2008 Networks. • In depth knowledge of Active Directory, TCP/IP, VPN, Microsoft Exchange, DNS, IIS. • Experience successfully implementing and maintaining all aspects of a network services including phone, voice, software, email, VPN, Internet Security. • Superior interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to work with minimal instruction in a fast paced environment.
