Job DescriptionPrepare all menu items assigned for meals. Complete prep work as needed for next day’s menu. Work according to production sheets and recipes. Clean work areas throughout day’s work. Label and date all food items when prepared and when storing. Follow accepted health codes. Other duties as assigned by management.
Ability to speak, read, write and follow oral and written directions (recipes, menus).
Must be mentally alert, work efficiently and safely.
Stand and walk short distances most of day.
Stoop, reach, lift and carry up to 80 lbs.
Able to push and pull carts minimum of 30 lbs.
Must be able to withstand heat while working around stoves and changes in temperature when going in and out of refrigerated and deep freeze areas.
Must be cautious while working with kitchen equipment to avoid cuts and burns while working on wet and slippery floors to avoid falls.
Taste and smell food to determine quality and palatability.
Education: High school
