STUDENT EXHIBITIONS

The Student Art Exhibition is held each year in April. This is a competition open to all VSCC art students. Each studio student is required to submit a minimum of 3 works produced during the preceding year. An outside juror selects works for exhibition and awards cash prizes. The Student Show and the Reception and Awards Ceremony are an annual highlight of the academic year.

In addition, the Student Art League operates a gallery in the Library. This exhibit space is open to all League members.

STUDENT ART LEAGUE

This student organization provides an opportunity for students to get to know each other outside of class, to interact with the other campus organizations, and to develop and work toward group and individual goals. The Student Art League has established an exhibition space in the Thigpen Library which is open to SAL members. The League also organizes field trips and workshops.
