Volunteer State Community College Men’s Basketball competes in the TCCAA and the NJCAA, playing teams across Tennessee and Kentucky. Vol State has traditionally been one of the top teams in the state. The college is the winner of the 2008-2009 All-Sports Award for TCCAA.

Tim Eriste
6'4 guard from Orlando, FL signed a grant in aid with Tarleton State university NCAA division 2 program located in Stephensville TX. Tim averaged 16.1 pts/6.3rebs/ 49% from 2; 34% from 3; and 64% from the free throw line. Tim made the second team all TJCAA.
Hunter Harris
6'6 freshman from Nashville was named freshman player of the year for the TJCAA and first team all – TJCAA. HUNTER AVERAGED 18.3 PTS/ 11.2rebs he shot 41% from the field and 72% from the free throw line. He missed 7 games with a broken hand during the winter.

Volunteer State Men's Basketball added to it 2011 signing class Wesley Brown 6'5 forward from Sycamore High School. While at Sycamore Wesley averaged 11 points, and 8 rebounds. Wesley was voted to the all district team and all tournament team during the district playoffs. Wesley is the recipient of the HOPE scholarship.

Volunteer State Men's Basketball signed 6'0 combo guard from Decatur High School in Alabama. Patrick Hereford averaged 9.7 points, 5.2 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals per game. Hereford was voted 6A All-Area Team as well as Alabama 4A-6A Second Team All-Region. Patrick was the winner of the Metro vs. City All-Star Dunk Contest in Huntsville Alabama.
- Maurice Jackson
Volunteer State Men's Basketball has added 6'2 point guard Maurice Jackson. Maurice transferred from Jackson Community College in Michigan were he contributed and started in 27 games during the 2009-2010 season. Maurice, originally from Detroit Michigan played high school basketball at Old Redford Academy where he averaged double digits in points, leading in both assists and steals. - Corey Thomas

Volunteer State Men's Basketball added to its 2011 signing class with 6'9" Center Cory Thomas from Atlanta Georgia(M.D. Therell High School) Cory averaged 10 points 11 rebounds, and 5 block shots per game at Therell.

Volunteer State Men's Basketball adds to its 2011 roster with 5'9 point guard Ryan yeates from Jackson Tennessee. Ryan averaged 10 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Yeates was voted all district in Jackson and was team captain while at Liberty Tech High School. Ryan is the recipient of the Hope Scholarship.
