The University Parallel Associate of Science degree programs are designed for students who desire to earn a baccalaureate degree at a four-year college or university. Students may complete the first two years of course work at Vol State and then transfer the credits to a four-year college or university. The Business Division offers university parallel programs in the areas of Business and Commerce, Business Education, Paralegal Studies, and the General Associate of Science and Associate of Arts degree programs.
Career-vocational credit courses lead to industry-recognized certifications, technical certificates and Associate in Applied Science degrees. Supporting activities assist preparation for individuals seeking career entry, career-sustaining, career specialist, and career growth opportunities.
We provide advising for current and prospective students, and assist with scheduling. The Business Division also provides information on career-path consideratoins and help with cooperative work experience and job placement.
The Business Division has many extra-curricular activities related to career awareness and community services.
General Concentration
The General Concentration is designed for students who have completed diploma programs from a Tennessee Technology Center. The completed diploma fulfills certification in the major field.
