The Academic Business Division at Volunteer State offers an exciting and challenging array of courses, services, and related curriculum that provide students with opportunities for enrichment and learning. The Division offers: University Parallel Associate in Science degree programs for students who desire to earn a baccalaureate degree at a four-year college or university. Students may complete the first two years of course work at Volunteer State and transfer the credits to a four-year college or university. The Business Division offers university parallel programs in the areas of Business and Commerce, Business Education, Paralegal Studies, and the General Associate of Science and Associate of Arts degree programs. Career-Vocational Credit Courses leading to industry-recognized certifications, technical certificates and Associate in Applied Science degrees. Supporting activities designed to assist preparation for individuals seeking career entry, career-sustaining, career specialist, and career growth opportunities are also available. Advising for current and prospective students, assisting with scheduling, career-path discussions, program completion, Cooperative Work Experience, and job placement. Opportunity for student growth through extra-curricular activities related to career awareness and community services.

	General Concentration The General Concentration is designed for students who have completed Diploma Programs from a Tennessee Technology Center. The completed diploma fulfills certification in the major field.
