Exit Exams

You are moving toward the completion of a degree. As a graduate you will have more opportunities to get the job you want, earn a higher salary throughout your lifetime, transfer for a four-year degree, and be prepared with the basic skills for life-long learning. Volunteer State has enjoyed having you as a student. Please go by the Career Placement Office, located in Building 100 of the East Campus Room 102, to obtain assistance in finding a job in your area of study.

A universal requirement to obtain a degree from a public college in Tennessee is exit testing. It is a State requirement. All graduates must take the MAPP exam to measure general education skills.

Some of you who are completing the General Business Administration degree must also take a GBA exit exam and attend a review session for this exam. Students who are graduating with the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Paralegal Studies must take the Paralegal exit exam and also participate in a review.

The dates and campus contact information for the MAPP exit exam are found below.

It is important that you do your best on these exit exams. Your performance reflects upon you, Volunteer State and your program major. If you have questions regarding the exit exams, please contact the Testing Center at 615-230-3484.
