Admission and Retention Committee
Committee Purpose
The purpose of the Admission and Retention Committee is to review policies and procedures and make recommendations concerning admission and retention standards.
Committee Activities
- Review and recommend policies concerning the admission of new and transfer students as well as the readmission of former students.
- Review and recommend policies concerning academic levels relative to probation, suspension, and reinstatement as reflected in retention standards.
- Review and recommend institutional data concerning retention and persistence related to achieving institutional and departmental retention and persistence goals.
- Review and recommend institutional data concerning persistence to graduation and placement of graduates related to achieving institutional and departmental retention and persistence goals.
- Review the College's admission policies at least annually and recommend necessary changes.
- Develop and recommend appropriate retention initiatives to achieve academic departmental retentionand persistence goals.

- Three (3) Division Deans
- One (1) representative from Admissions
- One (1) representative from the Advising Center
- One (1) representative from Developmental Studies
- Director of Student Support Services
