Recycling Committee

Committee Purpose

The purpose of the Recycling Committee is to promote awareness of and coordinate the recycling efforts of the College and address environmental issues. The committee establishes criteria for and funds scholarships.

Committee Activities

1. Recycle aluminum cans, paper, newspaper, plastic bottles and cardboard used on campus.
2. Recycle and disposal of "yard waste."
3. Provide education and information to students and staff of the need for recycling and the protection of the environment.
4. Develop and maintain scholarship criteria.

Reporting Relationships

Reports to Vice President of Business and Finance

Membership

• One representative from Plant Operations
• Student representation: 3 (including the current scholarship recipient)
• Total membership: 10-12
• At-large members: 6 - 8 (2 must be faculty)

Ex Officio: Vice President of Business and Finance, Assistant Director of Plant Operations
