Distance Learning, Student Log In to a My VolState Online Course
Volunteer State Community College | Division of Academic Affairs
1) Username for a My VolState Online "course" can be found (by you) by going to "manage course,"....then choose "track students." You will find a list of students (select the option for list "all" as opposed to "page 1" or "page 2")...on this screen is a list of all students enrolled...see their "username."
In addition, students can go to http://www.volstate.edu/studentemail/ and look up their user name. It is the same as their VSCC email log in, but not the same as PRIDE or PRIDE Online. PRIDE and PRIDE Online use CWID or SSN.
2) Passwords begin as the students' birth dates, but students can change the PIN in PRIDE or PRIDE Online. If it's a PIN/password issue, our office can help.
Password for entry to "My VolState Online" (courses) is student birthday...6-digits...no blanks, spaces, slash marks, etc. Today is June 9, 2003. A student birthday of Jun3 9, 2003 would have a password of 060903 (June as 06 month, 9th as 09 day and 03 as 2003 year).
3) If the students are not listed on your My VolState Online class roll, please check your roll in SIS to see if they are there. We often have students who don't get broadcast email messages or can't log into My VolState Online because they never signed up for the class. If they are enrolled, but not on your My VolState Online roll, please contact Admissions and Records office.
