Educate a Woman is an annual luncheon held by the Volunteer State Community College Foundation as a fundraising opportunity with all proceeds benefitting women’s scholarships.

Guest Speaker —Sylvia “Small Fire” Leake
Sylvia Leake, professional comedienne, shortly after attending a community college her fire for comedy was ignited. She gained national popularity with appearances on BET's Comic View, HBO's Def Comedy Jam, Bobby Jones Artist Retreat on the WORD Network, TBN, Vibe, The Wayans Brothers Show, It’s Showtime at the Apollo, Tom Joyner Sky Show and appeared in the Disney Film, First Kid. With her down home southern charm and her unmatched ability to deliver a hot punch line with universal appeal, Fire continues to light up the comedy world.
