Degree Offerings and Requirements
VSCC's English Department offers a program leading to the AS or AA degree as part of the College's University Parallel Degree Program. With an emphasis on careful reading, critical thinking, and clear communication, this course of study prepares students to transfer into a wide variety of baccalaureate degre programs. Students from Vol State's English program successfully transfer to public and private institutions such as Austin Peay State University, Middle Tennessee State University, Tennessee State University, Tennessee Technological University, the University of Tennessee, Belmont University, Cumberland University, David Lipscomb University, and many others.
