1. Check Financial Aid Requirements
   

   Go to:  My Vol State Portal
   Log in using your USER NAME and PASSWORD.
   Click the PRIDE ONLINE tab.
   Under the FINANCIAL  AID STATUS CATEGORY, Click ELIGIBILITY.
   Select AID YEAR 2013-2014.
   Complete all forms under the STUDENT REQUIREMENTS tab.

2. Check Your Award

   Go to:  My Vol State Portal
   Click the PRIDE ONLINE tab.
   Under FINANCIAL AID, Click AWARD FOR AID YEAR.
   Select AID YEAR 2013-2014.
   Select AWARD OVERVIEW tab.

3. Check Attendance Reporting

   Go to:  My Vol State Portal
   Click PRIDE ONLINE.
   Under STUDENT MENU, Click  ATTENDANCE REPORTING.
   Select TERM (Fall Term 2013).
   Click SUBMIT.

4. Print Direct Stafford Loan Request Form

Go to:  http://www.volstate.edu/ .
Click QUICKLINKS (located in the top right corner of the Home Page).
Click FINANCIAL AID.
Click LOANS (located to the left of the FINANCIAL AID page).
Click the DIRECT LOAN REQUEST FORM.
Complete the form and submit to the office.

5. Complete the Exit Counseling Interview

   Go to:  http://www.volstate.edu/ .
   Click QUICKLINKS (located in the top right corner of the Home Page).
   Click FINANCIAL AID.
   Click LOANS (located to the left of the FINANCIAL AID page).
   Scroll down to the bottom of the LOANS page.  Click the LOAN EXIT COUNSELING LINK.
   Click SIGN IN.
   Complete the MY PREFERENCES section.
   Click SAVE AND CONTINUE.
   Click COMPLETE COUNSELING.
   Click EXIT COUNSELING.
   Complete requirements.  Once you receive the confirmation page, you are finished.

6. Electronic  Loan Entrance Counseling and Electronic Master Promissory Note

Go to:  http://www.volstate.edu/ .
Click QUICKLINKS.
Click  FINANCIAL AID.
Click LOANS (located to the left of the FINANCIAL AID page).
Click the STUDENTLOANS.GOV link (located in the section “How To Apply”).
Follow the instructions.  You’ll receive a confirmation for the Entrance and for the Promissory Note.

7.  Print Financial Aid Appeal Form

   Go to:  http://www.volstate.edu/
   Click QUICKLINKS.
   Click FINANCIAL AID.
   To the left of the FINANCIAL AID page, Click FINANCIAL AID APPEAL FORM.
   Complete the form and submit to Financial Aid Office along with documentation.

8. FAFSA LINK

Go to: http://www.volstate.edu/ .
Click QUICKLINKS.
Click FINANCIAL AID.
Click FEDERAL & STATE AID.
Click FAFSA.GOV link (located in the FEDERAL PELL GRANT section).

9. LOTTERY CHANGE OF INSTITUTION FORM

Go to:  http://www.volstate.edu/ .
Click QUICKLINKS.
Click FINANCIAL AID.         
Click APPLICATION FORMS.
Click CHANGE OF INSTITUTION REQUEST (form #14 in the FORMS FOR FALL 2013– SUMMER 2014 section).

10. Order IRS Tax Return Transcript

    Go to:  http://www.irs.gov .
    Under TOOLS, Click ORDER A RETURN OR ACCOUNT TRANSCRIPT.
    Click GO TO ORDER A TRANSCRIPT.
    Click OK.
    Enter SOC. SEC. #, DATE OF BIRTH, STREET ADDRESS (on file with the IRS), and ZIP CODE.
    Click  CONTINUE.
    Under TYPE OF TRANSCRIPT, Select RETURN.
    Under TAX YEAR, Select 2012.
    Click  CONTINUE.
    The Transcript will be mailed to within 5 – 10 days.
