Business Division
The Business Division of the academic program of the College offers university parallel degrees in Associate of Science or Associate of Arts in a number of disciplines. Freshman- and Sophomore-level courses designed to transfer to the Bachelors degree are taught in Accounting, Banking, Finance, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Management, Marketing, Aviation, Business Education, and Paralegal Studies. The division also offers the Associate of Applied Science in a number of career areas. The General Business Administration AAS program offers concentrations in Accounting, Banking, Commercial Music, Computer Information Systems, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Logistics Management, Management, Marketing, Medical Practice Management, and Office Management Technology.
The AAS is also offered in General Technology and Paralegal Studies.
Candidates seeking to instruct in the Division must possess appropriate credentials. Minimum educational/work credentials are:
- AS/AA degree program (courses designed to transfer to a Bachelors degree program) Masters in field needed in some business disciplines. Eighteen graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
- AAS degree program (professional, occupational, technical courses not designed for transfer to a Bachelors degree program) - Associate degree. Work experience in the field. Baccalaureate degree preferred.
