Social Science and Education Division

The Social Science and Education Division of the academic program of the College offers university parallel degrees in Associate of Science or Associate of Arts in a number of disciplines, and the Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education and Social Services. Freshman- and Sophomore-level courses are taught in Early Childhood Development, Economics, Education, Geography, Health and Physical Education, Sports Medicine, Wellness, History, Homeland Security, Human Services, Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice, Political Science, Pre-Law, Psychology, Sociology

Candidates seeking to instruct in the Division must possess appropriate credentials. Minimum educational/work credentials are:

  • AS/AA degree program (courses designed to transfer to a Bachelors degree program) – A Masters degree. Eighteen graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
  • AAS degree program – Consult with the Dean of the Division.
