Hotel/Restaurant Management Program
The Hotel/Restaurant Management Concentration is designed to provide students with knowledge and skills to work in the Hospitality Industry. The program can be specialized towards lodging operations side or food and beverage by taking selective optional courses and participating in work co-op opportunities.
Students enrolled in this concentration seek growth leading to positions in Hotel/Motel Management and Food and Beverage Management. Students concentrating in food and beverage may take classes leading to the pro-mgt certificate from the National Restaurant Association.
Vol State’s faculty combine dedication to teaching with professional experience in the hospitality industry. Many of the HTL courses are taught by practicing industry professionals from Nashville area hotels and restaurants.
Students can take classes on campus or online.
In addition to the regular semester courses, Vol State can provide instruction in a seminar or workshop format to meet the needs of hospitality professionals in specific subject areas. These seminars can be taught either on-campus or on-property.
