This concentration is designed to provide students with knowledge and skills that can assist their career growth in the growing field of marketing. Typical duties performed by career oriented marketing employees include management of retail departments and store settings, personal selling, management of customer service, purchasing assistance, and merchandise management. Marketing employment is expected to grow as a part of the workforce well into the next century. Solid opportunities exist for growth from entry level to career sustaining and management responsibilities.
