The 30' x 45' television studio is equipped with broadcast cameras, pedestals, microphones, teleprompting system, a lighting system on a 16' high grid with a computerized dimmer controls. The totally serial digital video switcher includes digital effects and titling. The audio system is also totally digital. The program is recorded on digital videotape at 50 Mbps for extremely high quality.
The facility houses three edit suites including one of the latest uncompressed non-linear editing systems available. It allows 4 streams of video information with graphics and up to 64 audio channels to be edited simultaneously. Like the studio, this system is switchable to 16 X 9 format and upgradeable to HDTV. Edit Rooms Two and Three include non-linear systems with graphics and animation capabilities. A closed-captioning system is also available. Programs are finalized on DVCPro videotape, DVD, CD or as compressed streaming files for web pages.
