Community Resources

The department provides local programs that air on Gallatin Cable Channel 19 and other cable systems in our area. We also work with some area non-profit organizations to help them develop materials to promote their messages.

Local Interest Cable Programs Production

We produce public affairs programs for local cable television including informational and educational shows and our Presidential Politics course. Under development are news and public affairs programs written by our journalism students covering stories of interest to our campus and community.

Assistance with Non Profit Groups

The department occasionally works with area non-profit organizations to help them develop materials to promote their messages. With our assistance, the United Way of Sumner County has twice won the GEM award for the best campaign video for United Way organizations in Tennessee.
