Policies and Procedures
CHECKLISTS
A course checklist, which will be provided to you by the Distance Learning Department, must be completed and returned to either the Distance Learning or College @ Home departments. Checklists are used to reserve rooms as well as outline proctoring instructions. The College @ Home staff may refuse to proctor exams or accept assignments for an instructor who has not provided a checklist.
EXAMS
Instructors requiring the services of College @ Home for proctoring exams must provide sufficient copies of their exam to the College @ Home department.
The College @ Home department provides students with a policies handout at the beginning of each semester. We do, however, ask for your cooperation in encouraging students to schedule appointments when taking exams. This ensures that an exam is available or to determine whether extra staffing is needed on a particular day.
VIDEOS
Students may pick up their videos the week of their first class meeting. A set of videos will be provided, upon request, to any instructor teaching a College @ Home course. These videos are yours to keep as long as you are teaching the class.
SYLLABI
Each instructor must provide sufficient copies of their syllabi to the College @ Home department each semester. If you choose to do so, you may also post your syllabi on the web. The College @ Home staff should not be expected to make copies of your syllabi for students.
MAILING PROCEDURES
Your course checklist has a space provided for mailing instructions. Please be sure to specify whether you would like your exams mailed or plan to pick them up. If you would like the College @ Home department to mail your exams to you, we will only do so after each deadline date.
