Goals I, ll, and VI	1 of 6: Increase the pass rate of students who take Compass for the 1st time or who retest	75% of non-credit students who finish their work in math, reading, or writing will succeed on their 1st Compass test or on their retest	Adequate	Learning Outcomes; Retention; Accountability   1.       Learning Outcomes will be assessed by results of the Compass test or retest.  2.       Retention will be measured by tracking of student enrollment the semester after testing or retesting.
Goals l, ll, and VI	2 of 6:  Continue the 65% success rate of students enrolled in the flexible schedule, credit math course.	65% of students completing the flexible schedule, credit math courses will pass with a “C” or better.	Adequate	Learning Outcomes; Course Completion Rates; Retention   1.       Final grades will be tracked from instructor’s grade reports. 2.       Data will be collected on course completion. 3.       Retention will be measured by tracking student enrollment the semester after course completion.

Adequate	Access; Institutional Quality   1.       Improve advertisement of non-credit summer high school program. 2.       Collect data from 2002 summer program. 3.       Survey student satisfaction of summer program.
Goals I, II, and VI	4 of 6:  Continue investigating the availability and quality of internet tutorials in math, reading, and writing.	This search will lead to the addition of online tutorials in math, reading, writing.	Possible increase for an instructor to assist math on-line program (October budget revision if needed)	Learning Outcomes; Access; Retention   1.       Tracking of NEWSKILLS students. 2.       Survey of enrolled students. 3.       Survey of alumni.
Goals I,II, and VI	5 of 6:  Increase Learning Strategies course completion rate.	65% of students enrolled in Learning Strategies will complete the course. Goals I, X, and XI	6 of 6:  Increase the basic skills of the WIA student in math, reading, and writing on which a career path can be built.	60% of the students completing the program in a specific subject (math, reading, and writing) will increase their basic skills to above 8th grade or will pass the Compass.	Funded by the WIA Youth Grant	Learning Outcomes   Learning outcomes will be determined by a pre or post test on the TABE-PC and/or the Compass.
