1.  Renew WVCP license.

All required paperwork will be completed by April 1, 2004 in order to be able to continue to broadcast.

1.       Air renewal notices as required by the Federal Communications Commission.

2.       File appropriate paperwork by April 1, 2004.

3.       Expect renewal on August 1, 2004.

2.  Obtain TBR approval for securing a permanent home for WVCP’s broadcast antenna--

phase 1 of a 3-year project--to be accomplished by building a tower on campus.

Have TBR approval by July 1, 2004.

Adequate

1.       Meet with Division Dean and Vice-President of Academic Affairs on how to pursue this by December 25, 2003.

2.       Submit presentation to TBR by mid-spring.

3.       Expect answer from TBR by June 30, 2004.

3.  Conduct a pilot project for streaming of the radio station over the Internet during calendar year 2004.  This will enable station to increase service area and audience.  For example, baseball games could be listened to in Colorado.  A student living outside of WVCP’s listening area can listen via Internet to find out if the school is closed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The pilot program will be up and running before June 30, 2004, and data will be collected monthly.

a.  $275 yearly for additional music licensing fees

b.  $2,400 yearly for service provider

1.       Work with Administrative Computing to get signal to Internet.

2.       Obtain service provider.

3.       Promote on-air that signal will be available on Internet.

4.       Obtain monthly usage data from service provider.  Data will be totaled monthly through December 31, 2004.

5.       Analyze data.

6.       Make recommendation to college officials if streaming should be permanent.

Goal V

Work with VSCC Public Relations and Marketing to develop a coordinated program of promoting academic programs and initiatives on WVCP.

WVCP will air new scripts from marketing at least three times per year, promoting academic programs or initiatives.

Adequate

1.       Send an email to the director of marketing on November 26, 2003; January 26, 2004; March 26, 2004; and May 26, 2004, to request scripts, which promote academic programs or initiatives.

2.       Evaluate two weeks after each email is sent to see if scripts have been received.

3.       WVCP will start airing scripts received from marketing within ten days.
