Spears Hired for Macon County Adult Education

June Spears of Lafayette has been hired as Adult Education teacher by Volunteer State Community College. Vol State will begin coordinating Adult Education programs in Macon County this summer as part of a new contract with the state. Spears has been involved in Macon County Adult Education programs for more than 10 years. Board of Commissioner, and School Board member, Jimmy Cook, says Spears has the experience to keep the program going strong.
"We've had a lot of success with adult education in Macon County. We have the people who can do the job right."
Vol State will have classes starting later this summer. The classes will be held at the Adult Education Center, located behind the Macon County Schools offices at 501 College Street in Lafayette. The phone number for the Center is 615-666-2125.
