Vol State Paralegal Coordinator Named Regional Director for AAfPE

Loretta Calvert has been named a regional director on the board for the American Association for Paralegal Education (AAfPE). The organization promotes quality paralegal education, develops educational standards and encourages professional growth. Calvert is Coordinator of Paralegal Studies at Volunteer State Community College.
Calvert graduated from New York University School of Law in 1998, and worked at Sullivan & Cromwell both as a summer associate and full-time associate doing commercial litigation. In 2000, she and her husband opened Calvert & Calvert, P.C. in New York City. Calvert is a member of the Tennessee, Arizona, and New York State bars. Her article on qui tam litigation was published by NYU's Annual Survey of American Law. Calvert is a reviewer for the AAfPE Educator magazine and an active member of AAfPE’s Alternative Delivery Task Force where she spearheaded the new AAfPE Bytes newsletter.
