Mission Statement
To provide support services for underrepresented students. To assist in the recruitment and retention of underrepresented students. To build a sense of community and unity among all students. To further the Volunteer State ’s goal of promoting diversity and equality of all persons at Volunteer State .
Diversity initiatives strives to make the academic and social integration of underrepresented students to college life as smooth as possible through mentoring and exposure to academic programs and student services. The availability of leadership training and attendance to regional and national conferences further enhances diverse students’ experiences.
