The students, faculty, and staff at Volunteer State Community College are pleased to have the opportunity to host the Tennessee Board of Regents meeting on June 24 – 25, 2010.
Lodging has been reserved at the Hyatt Place Nashville Northeast, 330 East Main Street, Hendersonville, TN and Holiday Inn Express, 215 East Main Street, Hendersonville, TN. All room reservations will be made by the College. Participants are to take advantage of the hotels’ complimentary breakfast on Thursday morning and a full breakfast will be provided on Friday morning in the Meeting Room of the Hyatt Place. The hotel’s complimentary breakfast will be provided for those occupants at Holiday Inn Express. An evening hospitality room will be provided only on Thursday at the Hyatt Place. There are no planned spouses’ activities..
For your convenience, you may access this informational website where you will find a parking permit, campus map and driving directions, local dining and shopping areas, a Vol State fact sheet, and a revised schedule of events. To facilitate individual reservations, please complete and submit a registration form either by email or fax, indicating your wishes, including special requests for lodging, transportation, and meals, to my office by May 27.
Thursday’s schedule will begin with lunch served in the Rochelle Center of the Thigpen Library at 12 Noon. All meetings will take place in the Wemyss Auditorium of the Caudill Building. Thursday’s meeting will begin with a college presentation at 1:00 p.m. followed by the committee meetings. The meeting of the full board on Friday will begin at 9:00 a.m. Parking will be provided for guests in the parking lot nearest to the meeting place. The Thursday evening dinner and entertainment for all guests will take place on campus in the Great Hall of the Ramer Administration Building. Please plan to dress casually for this event. The College will provide transportation for guests to and from the campus for this event.
