Job DescriptionFranklin/Arrington- Saturday 8am-8pm and Saturday 8pm-8am
Other hours will be available as they open including Fill-in schedules.

89 yr old female. Client has Dementia and will need supervision and attentive care. NO transportation required. NON-SMOKER is requested. Client needs a caregiver to assist with all activities of daily living. Client walks with a 4-prong cane and stand-by assistance to prevent falls. She can communicate verbally her needs and wants, but due to Dementia and past strokeís she loses the words and sometimes canít express her thoughts clearly. B/c of the Dementia she also has anger outbursts. Wears depends 24/7. Caregiver will assist with all dressing needs, helping her prepare and monitor for shower, daily cleaning to maintain home, meal prep, water plants, go outside in the yard with her and assistance in the community when her daughter takes her places. She has a small dog in her home that the caregiver will also feed and water. She is very attached to her dog and will carry him around the house with her. He (dog) also stays in her room at night. There are baby monitors in the home that will be used to monitor client at night. Night caregivers will sleep in an upstairs room with a monitor and MUST be available should she need care. Caregivers are in place at night to make sure the client is safe and to get her out of the home immediately should an emergency take place and to care for all of her needs. Her daughter lives behind her. Other hours subject to open. Client does have sundowners- refers to a variety of difficult behaviors in dementia that tend to occur at a regular time each day, usually in the early evening. The night caregiver will also prepare her breakfast in the morning when she wakes and put her meds on a plate for her to take with her meal.

Job RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent, valid TN drivers license, pass background check , random drug screening, Be responsible, dependable and willing to learn. Great for students majoring in Human Services or Health related fields. All training provided
