Horse Care/Facility Tech

Job DescriptionThis is an entry-level position, 10 to 15 hours per week with some additional time during special events or when needed. Schedule is somewhat flexible but must be able to work 2-3 hours and arrive before or by 1 pm, Mon. thru Fri. Must have drivers license or reliable transportation. Someone with experience working with horses or handling large livestock has an advantage. The person selected will be responsible for daily feeding of horses, stall cleaning, and general facility maintenance.

Routine Responsibilities include:
Daily feeding and watering horses and occasional grooming
Daily stall cleaning
Keeping stable area organized, feed bins filled, hay stocked
Other duties as required

Job Requirements1. Horse care experience desired, but will train
2. Ability to learn and take direction from supervisor
3. Ability to lift 50 lbs. (feed bags)
4. Must be able to read directions and standard measurements in English
5. Ability to work independently
6. Must be able to pass a criminal background check if over 18
