Job DescriptionThe Tennessee Central Economic Authority is seeking a task oriented professional to serve as our Project Manager and assist the President/CEO. TCEA is located in Hartsville, TN serving a five county region & manages the PowerCom Industrial Center.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervise and participate in the development, analysis, monitoring, and administration of Tennessee Central programs.

These include, but are not limited to:

Prospect Development (RFI responses; coordination with TVA Economic Development, Tennessee’s Department of Community and Economic Development, and other partnering asset agencies)

Seek out and submit site development grant applications & manage consequential project activities, including coordination with engineers, representatives from awarding grant agencies, awarded entities (if not TCEA), etc.

Market the Tennessee Central region, including PowerCom Industrial Center to prospects, ECD, and TVA ED.

Plan, manage, prepare for site visits, including: prepare presentations, create detailed itineraries, coach and assign roles to local representatives for visits (utility providers, elected officials, IDBs, etc.)

Maintain TVA Sites listings.

Job RequirementsPreferred Qualifications:
a) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized accredited institution.
b) Work experience focusing on business and communications.
c) Strong computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and ability to use Apple. (learn GIS & other apps)
d) Highly developed communication skills, both oral and written.
e) Ability to prepare and deliver group presentations as well as respond to formal request for information and seek grant applications.
f) Team player, as well as being self-directed/self-starter and very task oriented.
g) Familiarity with the five counties region (Macon, Smith, Sumner, Trousdale, and Wilson) served by the TCEA.
