Pool Attendant

Job DescriptionSweetwater Pools of Nashville is looking for responsible and hard-working individuals to become professional pool attendants for the 2018 Summer season. Work will be from May 2018 to September 2018.

As a pool attendant at one of our many pools you will be responsible for checking in members of the community, keeping the pools and pool deck clean, cleaning the restrooms as well as assisting in balancing the water chemistry. You do not need to hold any certification as a pool attendant as we will train you.

Attendant Expectations:
• Report to work on time, in uniform and at position when shift begins.
• Keep pool deck clean, assist members and patrons as needed
• Man the check in area, checking in patrons
• Enforce facility rules in courteous but firm manner.
• Keep swimming pool and restrooms clean and ready for inspection at all times.
• Secure area by locking all doors and access points when attendant is not on duty.
• Attend all required staff meetings/in-services.

Job RequirementsEmployment Requirements:
• Must be at least 15 years old to apply; no experience necessary.
• Must successfully complete the Sweetwater Pools training requirements.
• Must be able to remain alert with no lapses in concentration; to sit for extended periods; to move to various locations; must be able to clean restrooms and take out trash daily.
• Must be able to communicate verbally, projecting voice across distances.
• Should also have the ability to handle patrons disturbances, complaints to think quickly, problem solve, and make quick decisions.
