Admission and Retention Committee
Committee Purpose
The purpose of the Admission and Retention Committee is to review policies and procedures and make recommendations concerning admission and retention standards.
Committee Activities
I. Review and recommend policies concerning the admission of new and transfer students as well as the readmission of former students.
2. Review and recommend policies concerning academic levels relative to probation, suspension, and reinstatement as reflected in retention standards.
3. Review and recommend institutional data concerning retention and persistence related to achieving institutional and departmental retention and persistence goals.
4. Review and recommend institutional data concerning persistence to graduation and placement of graduates related to achieving institutional and departmental retention and persistence goals.
5. Review the College's admission policies at least annually and recommend necessary changes.
6. Develop and recommend appropriate retention initiatives to achieve academic departmental retention and persistence goals.
