What does the Center do?
The Health Sciences Continuing Education Center of Emphasis provides quality continuing education programs for the health related disciplines. We also provide continuing education programs for others who have an interest in a health related topic such as First Aid/CPR, and blood borne pathogens.

The Health Sciences Continuing Education is pleased to currently offer American Heart Association on-line training. Courses currently offered are:

Skin Cancer Recognition Seminar for HairdressersPresented by: Dr. Keith Loven, Rivergate Dermatology

Hairdressers and cosmetologists can play an important role in early skin cancer detection.They are in the unique position to view the scalp, face and neck areas closely and notice when there are changes in a client’s skin.Clients then have an opportunity to follow up with their physician.
Dr. Loven will offer education on skin cancer recognition targeted to hairdressers and cosmetologists.
