Volunteer State Community College is offering nine evening courses this fall at Springfield High School. They include: American Literature, Music Appreciation, Astronomy, Intermediate Algebra, General Psychology, and English Composition I. Several Emergency Medical Technician courses will also be taught, including EMS basic theories and EMS Clinical Basic. Those courses require acceptance to the EMT program. Classes start August 30 and registration is open now.

Vol State at Springfield offers general education requirement classes that will apply to many degrees and programs at the college. They also provide an opportunity for students to take basic courses that can apply for credit at many other colleges and universities. Students can register online at www.volstate.edu. New students will need to apply to the College before they can register for classes. That can also be accomplished online. Admissions Advisors can walk new students through the process.
