Vol State Announces Distance Learning and Student Life Directors

Mary Nunaley has been named director of Distance Learning at Volunteer State Community College. Nunaley had been interim director, instructional designer and associate professor at the college. Nunaley started her career at Vol State as the coordinator of the Hotel/Restaurant Management program. She holds a Master of Education degree from California State University, East Bay; and a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePaul University.

Kenny Yarbrough is the new director of Student Life and Diversity Initiatives at Vol State. Yarbrough was most recently associate director at the Renaissance Education Group in Durham, North Carolina. He worked as a counselor and instructor at Southwest Tennessee Community College and an instructor at Jacksonville Theological Seminary. Yarbrough has a Master of Business Administration from Union University; a Doctorate in Theology from Jacksonville Theological Seminary; a Master of Science from Jacksonville Theological Seminary; and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
