Vol State Livingston Professor Named to National Advisory Committee

The National Conference for Race & Ethnicity in American Higher Education (NCORE) is one of the largest higher education diversity conferences in the country and Volunteer State Community College Livingston Associate Professor Dr. Girija Shinde has been named to serve on the advisory committee. The first NCORE conference was held in 1988 and the annual event has grown over the last 24 years of operation. The next conference will be held in New York City in late May. Shinde will assist in setting the agenda for the conference, including the keynote speakers and special events and marketing. The Biology professor also serves as chairperson for the International Education Committee at Vol State.
