Vol State has New Classes this Fall at Highland Crest

Volunteer State Community College is offering more than 100 classes this fall at Highland Crest in Springfield. Many of these classes will apply to many different majors and programs. General education classes include Art Appreciation, Psychology, English Composition, Human Anatomy and Physiology, College Algebra and many others. Major-specific courses this fall include Bluegrass music instruction, Business courses, Health Information Technology, and more. Vol State at Highland Crest is offering a course in Logistics and Supply Chain Management for the fall. Logistics is a hot career field that involves moving goods from one place to another and getting products to consumers. Daytime courses in Education and Criminal Justice have been added due to increasing student demand. An evening course in Veterinary Technology will also be offered in the fall. Vol State offers classes at Highland Crest during the day, in the evening and online. Classes start August 25 and new students will need to apply to the college before they can register for classes. Applications can be done online at www.volstate.edu or in person at the Highland Crest campus. The College is located at 150 Laureate Avenue, just south of NorthCrest Medical Center, off of Highway 431 and Billy Batson Parkway.
