Vol State Welcomes New Faculty Members for Highland Crest

Volunteer State Community College at Highland Crest is welcoming three new full-time faculty members to the College this fall.

Jean Gorgie is teaching in the Humanities Division as Instructor of Reading. Gorgie most recently taught English at Santa Monica College in California. She holds a Master of Arts degree from San Francisco State University.

Michael Lenz has been hired as Instructor of Political Science. He was most recently an instructor at Monroe Community College in Rochester, New York. Lenz holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

Shannon Lynch has been hired as Instructor of Philosophy. She was most recently an adjunct instructor for Vol State. Lynch has a Master of Liberal Studies degree from Rollins College.
