"Into the Woods" Musical Comes to Vol State

Fairy tales get personal and musical when "Into the Woods" comes to the Volunteer State Community College stage. It will be presented by the Vol State Theater program, featuring students and community members. "Into the Woods" delves into the characters of "Little Red Riding Hood", "Jack and the Beanstalk" and even "Cinderella." The primary plot is the story of a man and wife starting a new family and their conflict with a witch who places a curse on them. The Stephen Sondheim musical won several Tony awards during its run on Broadway.

"Into the Woods" will be presented on March 21, 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m. and March 24 at 2:30 p.m. It will be held in the Wemyss auditorium at Caudill Hall on the Vol State campus at 1480 Nashville Pike in Gallatin.
