Registration Open for Vol State Spring Classes at McGavock

Volunteer State Community College spring classes at McGavock High School start on January 12. Registration is open now for all students. New students must apply to the College first.
Vol State will offer 30 evening classes this spring. They include popular general education classes that apply to many degrees: Introduction to Wellness, Computer Applications, General Psychology, College Algebra, Survey of American History II, and English Composition. Specialty classes at McGavock include Fire Science courses, such as Strategies and Tactics and Fire and Emergency Services Administration. Learning Support math, reading and writing courses will also be offered at a number of different levels.
McGavock is a degree granting center for Vol State, which means students can earn a degree there in programs such as Business. Online classes are another popular option at Vol State. The topics range from Essentials of Biology to Principles of Accounting, and include many of the college general education requirement classes. Online classes allow students to work at home and on their own schedule. The complete spring schedule of classes can be found on the college web site.
