“Vol State Presents” is a 30 minute television program highlighting the visual and performing arts scene in middle Tennessee. We travel throughout the area to talk with artists and entertainers about their craft including what education and training is necessary to achieve their success.

Program 4
Program four includes a profile of Dan Clark, the producer of Top Twenty Countdown on CMT, Melissa DuPuy discussing the origins of Bluegrass music, Richard Painter, an award winning artist who paints with fire and part two of our interview with Grammy award winning songwriter Marcus Hummon discussing the art of writing musical theater.

Program 3
Program three includes a profile of Jeff Hall, a set designer for stage shows throughout the county; Danielle McDaniel, “The Clay Lady”, who teaches clay design to children and adults; Scott Brooks, a digital animation artist with a large advertising agency and part 1 of an interview with Marcus Hummon, a Grammy award winning songwriter and musician.

Program two includes a profile of sculptor Alan LeQuire, best known for his Athena statue in the Parthenon and the Musica sculpture on Music Row, a behind the scene look at the Nashville Children’s Theater and their recent play “Suessical”, a look at what’s involved in producing a radio talk show with Vol State alum Tommy Stewart and an interview with former American Idol contestant, entertainer Kimberley Locke.
