Business and Technology Division

The Business and Technology Division at Volunteer State Community College offers an exciting and challenging array of courses, services, and related curricula that provide students with opportunities for enrichment and learning. The A.A.S. in Business is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.

The University Parallel Associate of Science degree programs are designed for students who desire to earn a baccalaureate degree at a four-year college or university. Students may complete the first two years of course work at Vol State and then transfer the credits to a four-year college or university. The Business and Technology Division offers university parallel programs in the areas of Business Administration, Accounting, and Information Systems.

Career-vocational credit courses lead to industry-recognized certifications, technical certificates and Associate in Applied Science degrees. Supporting activities assist preparation for individuals seeking career entry, career-sustaining, career specialist, and career growth opportunities.

We provide advising for current and prospective students, and assist with scheduling. The Business and Technology Division also provides information on career-path considerations and help with cooperative work experience and job placement.
