The Tourism Board of Sumner County, Inc., also known as Sumner County Tourism, is a 501(c)6 destination marketing agency overseen by a board of directors.
Sells and markets Sumner County as a destination for group tours, consumer market, sports events, meetings and other activities.
Contacts and delivers presentations to potential customers at travel shows, sales missions and other networking opportunities
Plans, organizes and executes tour itineraries and gives tours for groups
Travels to conferences, professional development activities and meetings
Assists with recruitment of sports events, festivals and meetings
Solicits sponsorships and in-kind donations for events
Sells ads for publications or website
Plans & organizes FAM tours for tour operators, industry partners & media
Works special events, such as festivals, tournaments, etc.
Gathers and inputs data
Attends community meetings to connect with the community at large
Builds strong relationships with tourism staff, industry partners and colleagues
May write blogs, press releases and follow-up correspondence
Stays informed about tourism activities in Sumner County and Middle Tennessee

Work performed indoors in climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled areas, as well as outdoors.
