Job Description

OVERVIEW

The Tennessee Credit Union is looking for a detail oriented, self-starter to fill the IT Technical Specialist position. In this entry level position the ideal candidate will have an extremely high level of accuracy, strong attention to detail and be able to think independently. Provide technical information support in all areas of the Credit Union. This position will be responsible for the credit union's Microsoft desktops and generating and automating reports in Excel and Crystal Reports. Perform responsibilities in a manner that helps provide an exceptional member experience.

This position will be based out of our Main Office (8th Avenue South) location in Nashville. Hours are generally Monday-Thursday 11:00-8:00; Friday 9:00-6:00 but may vary based on business need to include holidays, evenings and weekends. EOE


DUTIES/REPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties are normal for this position, but should not be interpreted as all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Support the IT Department in a manner that contributes to the team effort and helps provide an exceptional member experience.
Serve as a technical resource in all IT areas to entire company.
Responsible for running SQL queries in Excel and/or Crystal Reports
Microsoft Server software upgrades
Responsible for updates and patches as needed on various software.
Active Directory and Group Policy maintenance
Microsoft Windows 7 and 10 troubleshooting and support
Supports and coordinates installation of server and desktop technology for new projects.
Monitor and maintain Ivanti including Application Whitelisting, Device management and patches
Ability to solve basic, common user problems in real time, including software functionality
Assist with Information Technology Security and Disaster Recovery setup and testing.
Backup for Information Technology manager.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Work Hours: 11am-8pm Monday-Friday

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

General understanding of Credit Union and/or financial institution operations preferred
Basic understanding of Active Directory, networking, understand client-server environment
Strong analytical skills; ability to establish procedures and communicate them.
Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects; excellent organizational skills.
Must be able to work flexible hours, and, infrequently, to be able to travel
Some heavy lifting and moving of equipment required, as well as some crawling/climbing.
Ability to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing
Ability to work in non-smoking environment.
High school education required; business school or advanced education preferred.
Two years minimum experience preferred in IT.
In order to be hired into this position, the candidate must have an acceptable credit history per a report which will be run prior to employment. Good credit history is considered an essential element for this position. In addition, the candidate must pass a drug screen and background check.
