Job Description

Position Summary: Provides assistance to the Engineering Division with field staking, inspection, and
miscellaneous Engineering activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the observance of CEMC safety rules, procedures, safety policies, and bulletins;
including NESC and any standard that may apply to the distribution system.
2. Assists in staking line relocations and system improvements.
3. Maintains friendly, courteous relationships with members, other utility companies, and the general
4. Collects accurate field data for proper operation of GIS/Mapping and Outage Management Systems.
5. Generates service orders from NISC as-needed.
6. Assists Engineering Section with field studies, construction work plan, and the collection of
engineering and operations data, and coordinates activities with Engineering Division.
7. Uses a telescoping fiberglass measuring tool to safely measure vertical heights of overhead joint use
attachments and pole line material
