Scholarships

A primary function of Volunteer State College Foundation is to increase the level of educational attainment by the citizens of northern middle Tennessee. To this end, the Foundation seeks funds for capital projects, academic program support, necessary operational expenses not covered by state or federal funding, and to provide scholarships. Currently, the Foundation offers more than 175 different annual and endowed scholarships.

Applying for Scholarships

One Scholarship Application puts you on the list for all scholarships available as long as you meet the required criteria.

Foundation Scholarship Requirements

  • Application for Admission and pay fee
  • High School Transcript/GED Score (7th semester transcripts are required for high school students who have not graduated.)
  • ACT Scores
  • Complete a FAFSA online at www.fafsa.gov
  • Minimum cumulative 2.5 collegiate GPA

Application Priority Dates

(Submit only one application per academic year)

  • Fall Semester:  March 1
  • Spring Semester:  November 1

Give as much information as you can so your application is complete. Incomplete applications only delay the process and your eligibility status. The “Essay” portion allows you to share any additional information about yourself that might set you apart from other applicants.
